Olympus has announced that its E-5 digital SLR will start shipping from 29 October at a suggested retail price of $1700. Announced at Photokina 2010, the weather sealed camera offers a 12MP Live MOS sensor, 920k dot 3.0" articulating LCD screen, live view with contrast AF, HD video recording and shutter speeds of up to 1/8000th second. In addition, the company will, on the same day, also start to ship the 40-150 mm 1:4.0 M.
