Canon has officially announced that certain Canon and Tamron lenses do not work fully with the Canon EOS 7D, EOS 60D, EOS 50D and EOS 40D. It was discovered that these Canon and Tamron lenses use the lens ID, which is not supported by Canon. The following Canon lenses are affected.

The following Tamron lenses are affected.
* Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 VC
* Tamron 60 f/2 Macro
* Tamron 70-200 f/2.8
* Tamron 10-24 f/3.5-4.5

Sony has decided to discontinue all NEX-3 models in Japan including the NEX-3A, NEX-3K and NEX-3D. As a reminder, the Sony NEX-3 was introduced in June 2010. Samsung has announced the availability of five new NX lenses. These lenses include a 18-200mm multi-purpose telephoto zoom, a 16mm ultra wide pancake, a 60mm macro, a 85mm ultra bright portrait and a 16-80mm standard zoom. All of the lenses are compatible with Samsung’s unique i-Function system.
